Moms Who Pray

Daily Prayer Guide for Moms (download link at the bottom of post). Don't underestimate the power of your prayers - they are creating your childrens future!

To all my mommas out there - you are heroes!!! Raising little ones is no easy task, but hear me when I say this: you were made for this, you've got what it takes and you're doing an amazing job! I also want to remind you of your greatest superpowers as a momma: prayer! You are not alone in parenting - God is by your side and your prayers are powerful. Don't underestimate the impact of your prayers. I've put together a daily prayer guide to help you pray for your kids and it's available for you to download at the bottom of this post.

But first let's take a look at the power of prayer...

Prayer helps us not to worry

One of the top struggles moms I talk to have is worry. All kinds of scary scenarios and “what if’s” can play out in our minds when it comes to our kids. It almost feels like if we worry about them we will keep them safe. But let me let you in on a secret:

worrying doesn’t help at all. As a matter of fact, the Bible tells us NOT to worry, but instead we are to pray. And when we pray our worries are replaced with faith!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds everything we can understand…” Phil 4:6-7

Prayer adds God’s supernatural to our natural efforts

Our words carry power, and when we pray we can declare promises from God’s Word over our children. When we pray, we are not begging God to do things for our kids – he wants good things for our kids more than we do. We are agreeing with him for His kingdom to come and His will be done in the lives of our children. It’s like opening up a pathway for God to do His thing.

Prayer changes the present

If you are having problems with their behavior, if they are sick, if your child is going through a tough situation or phase and you’re not sure what to do: PRAY! It changes things!

You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!” John 14:13-1

Prayer impacts the future

It paves a way for their future. It calls on the promises of God over their lives and brings them into reality. Pray for their future spouse, their career, their schooling/friends, the promises God has given you over their lives. God has plans for them and we get to partner with him in prayer to see them come to pass. One of my favorite verses to declare over my children is Isaiah 54:13 All my children will be taught by the LORD, and great will be their peace.

Never underestimate the power of your prayers in the lives of your children. Pray daily for them. You can download the prayerguide below to help you. It will yield amazing fruit in their lives.

Cheering you on as you pray. You got this momma!

Love,

Josie
